David Chikvaidze, former aide to President Mikhail Gorbachev and Chef de Cabinet of successive Directors-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, noted that the World Federalist Movement was initiated by Albert Einstein, Bertrand Russell and Hideki Yukawa immediately after World War II.
